DESIGN

My goal as a designer is to create aesthetically pleasing designs that value creativity, resonance, and inclusivity. I do not have a fixed style, but I do have a fixed attitude. This allows me to connect with my clients ideas and bring to life the designs they need.

Geode

The problem of ignorance surrounding menstruation allowed me to develop a brief, combatting the norms of period products, and increasing education and awareness in turn.

A series of pad boxes were designed based on different eras, each including the historical ways that women dealt with periods. The project was centred around removing shame from periods and creating inclusive designs that not only educate but empower.

royaley reporting

Stenographic company, Rojaley Reporting reached out to the Liveworm design studio team to have a business card designed. I was lucky enough to be chosen for this project.

Based on a provided photo of the stenographic machine, I created a simple logo. The branding I chose was based on the request that the company wanted to have a warm, friendly, and accessible personality.

tweak

This project was created by analysing a specific users problem and developing an app that could help them. My app is designed so that users can be inspired and increase confidence in their creativity.

During this project I worked closely alongside my user, allowing her to contribute to the colour, typography, and interface design choices. This project helped me to improve my skills in client communication and collaboration.

thoughts on typography and layout

Thoughts on Typography and Layout is a small collection of 4 essays by designers and design scholars. Based on these essays, I chose a header typeface and design direction that fit the theme and feel of each essay.

I loved every part of completing this project. As my first multi-page editorial design, I had to learn how to perfectly format an InDesign document, as well as communicate with a printing company to bring it to life.

professional standards report

This project explores the benefits of professional standards schemes for professional ethics, risk management, and consumer outcomes. The task was to create a professional layout for the report, as well as redesigning some infographics.

There was no required creative direction, so I was able to take creative liberty.

I wanted to chose an appropriate cover photo that represented integrity and ethics, and use that as a jumping point for colours.
